Por tanto, quedan incluidas las actividades relacionadas con la venta y reparación de vehículos de motor y motocicletas, comercio al por mayor y al por menor, e intermediarios del comercio. La información se desagrega territorialmente para España y sus comunidades autónomas. Hasta el ejercicio de referencia 2017 incluido, el INE identificaba a efectos operativos, la unidad estadística empresa con la Unidad Legal (en el caso español, mediante el NIF). Así, cada Unidad Legal conformaba una empresa a efectos estadísticos. De acuerdo&nbsp; con el Sistema Estadístico Europeo (SEE), a partir de los datos con referencia al año 2018 las Estadísticas Estructurales de Empresas establecen una nueva aplicación práctica del concepto estadístico de Empresa, según el cual una empresa puede ser: o bien una Unidad Legal independiente, que no forma parte de grupo empresarial, por lo que se supone que dispone de autonomía de decisión;
